The installation of cane feeding and preparation, containing DVU when compared to the conventional systems, has economic and energetic advantages due to the use of only one rotor the absence of feeding drums, cane carriers, feeding table and spreader.
These advantages may reach up to 45% on initial investment, more than 20% in intercrop maintenance and up to 24% in energy consumption. Another great advantage (with environmental appeal) is the elimination of the need to wash the cane carrier, one step more toward to “dry plant”.
